Head Photographer
Silicon Valley Business Journal 2008 -2019
· Head photographer responsible for featuring and interviewing C-level executives and industry leaders throughout Silicon Valley at a fast-paced, creative, deadline-driven newsroom
· Produced original multimedia content, including videos for the digital platform
· Pitched, wrote and photographed regular photography-based original content every week
· Responsible for curating and posting personal photography projects and slideshows
· Met all deadlines and worked closely with editors and reporters to produce visually compelling stories
· Illustrated complex concepts for readers with a clear and concise point of view, while upholding the highest photographic integrity
· Instrumental in the launch of American City Business Journals’ companywide digital and print publication redesign and worked directly with magazine designer Mario Garcia
· Awarded and recognized ACBJ’s highest honor, the Eagle Award
· Managed the in-house photo studio

· Responsible for covering daily photography assignments and breaking news for a newsroom with 75,000 readers throughout Silicon Valley
· Managed, taught and mentored photography interns, many of whom went on to work at major daily newspapers, magazines, graphic design or art industries
· Assigning editor for three newspapers within the SVCN family of publications
